I first found Chicwish on Instagram about a year ago. I immediately fell in love with their Indie style. I would always see these posts of girls wearing the cutest things and before I would even click to see where the items were from, I could predict it was Chicwish! So, I was super excited to team up with them to create some looks of my own! When exploring the Chicwish website, I found pieces that were SO on trend for this season and I thought it would be fun to share them with you!
1. Lace & Ruffles
Let’s be honest here… Can it get more girly? I don’t know about you, but there is nothing that makes me feel more feminie than wearing lace and ruffles. The thing is, we don’t want to feel like grown up’s rocking our “Little Miss” pageant gowns. This is where Romantic Grunge, Leather & Lace, Girly Moto… (whatever you want to call it) comes in. Adding leather creates a much needed edge to our ultra femme 2019 look.
2. Leather
Leather (and faux, of course) is pretty much timeless. Not only is it durable, but you can typically count on it to add that “cool” factor to your ensemble. Currently, the “Moto” trend is the look of choice. Cropped jackets, high waisted skirts and fitted bottoms are the go-to style.
3. Animal Prints
They joke that leopard is the new black.. But, seriously, is it!?! Nowadays, I see people LIVING in leopard (and other animal prints for that matter). You honestly can’t scroll through 20 pics on Instagram without seeing someone wearing it. Whether its cheetah, Dalmatian or crocodile, I think it’s safe to say that animal prints won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
4. Tulle
Like lace, tulle gives us the girly girl feels and lets us feel like a grown up princess when wearing it. Tulle is a little tricky to wear but can be really cute with cropped fitted sweaters, tucked in button ups or more edgy if you add a tee and leather jacket.
5. Chunky Sweaters
Not only are they keeping us cozy, they keep us looking cute while wearing them. I thought for sure that a chunky knit sweater was gonna make me look just that, chunky. My frame is fairly large despite how skinny I am and sometimes things just make me look bulky. This wasn’t the case at all for me! I’m especially loving the cardis that incorporate heart designs for the upcoming holidays and month of love (❤). Have you tried a heavy knit or pom pom sweater yet yourself?
I’d love to know what your favorite styles of the season are!
