visiting Hocking hills  state park

Hocking Hills State Park is located in southeastern Ohio. The park has received national & international acclaim as a top park to visit!

The park got its name from the Hocking River. The river was formed due to  it's one-time blockage by glacier ice.

Upper Fall's sits closest to the Visitor Center parking area and is a less than 5 minute walk.

Devil's Bathtub sits along the trail between Upper Falls & Old Man's Cave.

old man's cave

Old Man's Cave has two trail entrances and is 1 to 1.5 miles long. It's one of the most popular trails at Hocking Hills. 

Once you reach the floor area of the cave, you are surrounded by caverns, forestry and waterfall scenery.

Part of the trail at Old Man's Cave where you walk underneath the huge rock features/cave ceiling. 

cedar falls

Another one of the most popular trails, the Cedar Falls hike is only 1/2 mile long but fairly strenuous.

Cedar Falls has a seasonal waterfall that is most likely to be running in Spring, Fall and Winter.

Large rock formations line the hike out to the waterfalls on the Cedar Falls trail way. 

ash cave

Ash Cave is one of the seven most popular hikes at Hocking Hills and is around 1/2 mile long.

Ash Cave boasts a stunning seasonal waterfall that pours down from the top of the horseshoe shaped cavern.

The first half of the trail is handicap accessible. To complete the trail, you must climb stairs & rock terrain.

Hocking Hills gives visitors several miles of gorgeous trails featuring sandstone, waterfalls, caves and dense forests in its multiple hiking areas. If you are in southeastern Ohio, I would definitely recommend visiting the impressive area!
