Day trip to Red River Gorge & Natural Bridge

The Red River Gorge is a canyon system that lies within the Daniel Boone National Forest on the Red River.

Natural Bridge is in it's own State Park nearby.

NATURAL BRIDGE

You can walk on top of Natural Bridge and then take a path to view it in full.

Traveling to view the Bridge from the bottom via Low Gap is a bit of a squeeze!

Natural Bridge is a sandstone arch that rises 65 feet over the mountains.

Rock Bridge Loop Trail is less that 2 miles long. The loop descends through stunning forest scenery.  Around halfway through you will arrive at Creation Falls and Rock Bridge.

Rock Bridge is one of the larger arches at the Gorge and sits over water.

Creation Falls sits next to a small sand beach and has a rock path you can travel over.

In all, the Red River Gorge Geological Area boasts over 100 sandstone arches, multiple waterfalls and over 60 hiking trails. The Gorge is a must-see if you are a nature lover and in the Kentucky area!
